Dr. Tina Ptacek is originally from Peoria, AZ. She attended college at Arizona State University and dental school at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. After practicing as a general dentist for one year, Dr. Ptacek moved to the East Coast where she completed her pediatric dental training through Lutheran Medical Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where she served as Chief Resident of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. While in Massachusetts, Dr. Ptacek enjoyed teaching predoctoral students at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and working with the Cleft Lip and Palate team at The Shriner’s Hospital in Springfield, MA.
Dr. Ptacek is a board certified pediatric dentist. She has earned a Certificate in Public Health though A.T. Still University. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Arizona Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Society. Dr. Ptacek has her certification in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She stays current in all aspects of pediatric dentistry by attending multiple continuing education courses each year. Dr. Ptacek is passionate about serving the Phoenix community and enjoys participating in events such as Give Kids A Smile during Children’s Dental Health Month, Mission of Mercy, and Special Olympics.
Dr. Ptacek and her husband, John, reside in the West Valley of Phoenix. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors in the beautiful Arizona sunshine. Dr. Ptacek’s hobbies include attending Arizona State University athletic events, running, mountain biking, and you can always catch Dr. Ptacek reading a good book.
