Elizabeth Skotowski, DDS

Dr. Liz specializes in dental care for children, young adults, and individuals with special health care needs. She is dedicated to ensuring that each of her patients has a positive experience, a healthy smile, and a lifetime of good oral health. Dr. Liz completed her undergraduate degree at Western Illinois University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Science. All four years there she played Division I basketball and served as co-captain her senior year. She then studied at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, she spent a year treating underserved children with severe dental needs in Yuma, Arizona, solidifying her passion and love for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Liz continued at the University of Iowa for her two year residency in pediatric dentistry. During her residency, Dr. Liz received significant training to provide both comprehensive and emergency dental care for children of all ages and those with special health care needs. She gained in-depth experience with various sedation options including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral conscious sedation, and treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia. Dr. Liz is pursuing board certification in pediatric dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, golfing, taking her dog (Teddy) for walks, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
