Dr. Maddi McConnaughhay is dedicated to treating all children and individuals with special healthcare needs. She is originally from western Nebraska and attended Creighton University which instilled the importance of caring for the entire individual. She completed her dental training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital in Omaha and her Master’s of Public Health at UNMC.
Dr. Maddi started her career as a professor in her pediatric dentistry residency program at UNMC before making her move to Phoenix. While at UNMC she directed the dental clinic at the Munroe-Meyer Institute which specializes in dental treatment for children and adults with special healthcare needs. Specialized treatment can include a variety of modalities such as behavior guidance, nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. Dr. Maddi is very passionate about increasing access to care and providing personalized treatment for every patient. Dr. Maddi has served in dental missions in both Peru and Jamaica and is committed to helping children in all communities.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and sits on the leadership team for the Nebraska Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
In her free time, you can find her traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and *attempting* to cook a new recipe.
